St James's is a Catholic Primary school intended to serve the four Roman Catholic parishes of St James’s Twickenham, St Francis De Sales Hampton Hill and Upper Teddington, St Theodore of Canterbury Hampton-on Thames and St Margaret of Scotland St Margarets-on Thames. Pupils from other parishes do attend when there are spaces in the year group.

Applications are open to all pupils, however, as the school is over subscribed the over subscription criteria is used to allocate places. Please read the Admissions policy for the school. Visits to the school are welcome and a tour of the school is given most Thursday mornings, please contact the school office if you would like to see the school in action.

Admission to the George Tancred Centre, a centre for 10 children with an Autism Spectrum Condition is controlled by the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames.
