‘Put out into the deep’

130th Anniversary

In September 2024, we celebrated out 130th anniversary. St James's School was opened on the 19th September 1884.

We were joined by Cardinal Vincent Nichols, and our local parish priests for a special Mass.

Local Catholic school headteachers, previous St James's headteachers, staff and governors joined us for the Mass.

Each class contrubuted to a special time capsual buired on the school site to mark life at St James's during its 130th year.
