Stanley Road - School Street Parking Restrictions
From 3rd March 2025, a "School Street" will operate along Stanley Road from the junction with South Road into the cul-de-sac towards the school entrance.
This is a reminder that:
- Vehicles of non-residents, will not be permitted to access Stanley Road from 3rd March 2025: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 9.00am and 2.00pm to 4.00pm, term time only.
- Visitors are advised that if they want to park near the Stanley Road pedestrian gates, they park in pay and display bays in designated “non-school streets”.
- We politely remind drivers to park their cars considerately and safely.

Current status
The results of the pre-trial consultation have been considered and discussed with local ward councillors who were supportive of a School Street trial. This will include an ANPR camera enforced School Street on Stanley Road. Residents will be informed in due course when the scheme is ready for trial and the consultation will then reopen for six months.
Hours of operation
Visitors to the school will not be permitted to access Stanley Road, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 9.00am and 2.00pm to 4.00pm, during term time only. If non-registered vehicles access Stanley Road, the local authority will apply a penalty notice.

How it works
School Street signs and advanced warning signs will notify drivers of the School Street and its operating times.
Shared ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras are proposed to enforce the restrictions once installed and signs will indicate that.
Exemptions
During the operating times people walking, scooting, using wheelchairs, mobility scooters and cycles (including adapted cycles) are able to enter the School Street.
