School tours for mainstream Admissions

Reception 2027 Open Morning Supporting Presentation:  

Thank you to all those parents who attended our Reception 2027 Open Morning.  Please find attached the supporting presentation that was given by our Headteacher:

Reception 2027 admissions:  

Our Friday light-touch tours are for parents and carers who were unable to attend our dedicated Reception 2027 Open Morning in September.

Please note the following:

• Tours are limited to a maximum of 5 families per session (10 people in total).

• We recommend no more than 2 adults (primary guardians) attend per applicant.

• Children are welcome but must remain under the direct supervision of the accompanying adult at all times.

• This is a light-touch school tour; unfortunately, there will not be an opportunity to meet with the Headteacher or the Admissions Officer during the visit.

• Before attending, we encourage parents to review our Reception 2027 presentation, Reception admissions process on the school website and our latest Ofsted report.

January 2027: Nursery admissions: 

Our Friday light-touch tours are for parents and carers who are considering a Nursery January 2027 place.  (We will not be holding a dedicated Nursery open morning in the Autumn term, as this was provided in February).

Please note the following:

• Tours are limited to a maximum of 5 families per session (10 people in total).

• We recommend no more than 2 adults (primary guardians) attend per applicant.

• Children are welcome but must remain under the direct supervision of the accompanying adult at all times.

• This is a light-touch school tour; unfortunately, there will not be an opportunity to meet with the Headteacher or the Admissions Officer during the visit.

• Before attending, we encourage parents to review our school website, the Nursery admissions application webpage and our latest Ofsted report

A dedicated open morning will be held in February and the date will be announced in Dec.

2026-2027 In-year admissions:

Our Friday light-touch  tours are for parents who are contemplating applying for their child's in-year admission transfer, from their current school to St James's.  

Please note the following:

• Tours are limited to a maximum of 5 families per session (10 people in total).

• We recommend no more than 2 adults (primary guardians) attend per applicant.

• Children are welcome but must remain under the direct supervision of the accompanying adult at all times.

• This is a light-touch school tour; unfortunately, there will not be an opportunity to meet with the Headteacher or the Admissions Officer during the visit.
