What is the process for changing schools in-year?

Please refer to the local authority guidance if you would like to apply for an in-year admission school place at St James's Catholic Primary School.

The waiting lists for this academic school year: 2026-2027 will be closed at the end of June 2027.

If a place is offered for your child they will be expected to be available to start school within five school days of an offer being made otherwise the place may be withdrawn. We will not reserve places for children, and you will be required to re-start the application process. 

What documentation do I need to provide?

1. An application to the local authority for an in-year admission.

2. If applying under a faith category, the St James's 2026-2027 Supplementary Information Form (see below).
